The Meaning Behind Core Congruence
The meaning behind Core Congruence is complex, and that is because the human experience is complex. There are many aspects to being human. We have the physiological, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual parts that make up who we are. When we attend to each of these parts, when we connect with and nurture all aspects of ourselves, we are happy; we are whole. When we think, feel, and behave in ways that are congruent with our core values and beliefs, we feel peaceful, connected, well. When we behave in ways that are incongruent with our core truth, we feel pain and disconnected; we are not well.
Core Congruence is about identifying the ways we are imbalanced and discovering new ways to become balanced. I believe the essence of who we are is at the intersection of all the parts. When the different parts are out of alignment, we cannot be who we are. This causes immense stress, pain, and an inability to feel joy. Core Congruence is about exploring, understanding and respecting oneself as a whole. It is about fully connecting with oneself and having the courage to connect with others in an authentic way.

Nourish Your Mind & Body
Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health.
Feel the Best You Can
With fitness training comes reduced risk of disease, an enhanced feeling of well-being, and yes, it helps us “look better.” Science has also found a significant relationship between exercise and mental health. Conditions such as anxiety, stress and feelings of depression are reduced by physical exercise. It has also been found to make significant changes in various brain structures, like the hippocampus (our memory center).
Congruent Brain & Heart
Neuroplasticity is a fancy way of saying that the brain has the ability to change, to learn and unlearn, to grow and shrink. Through counseling and other behavioral modification, we can actually change the brain (structure sizes and neuropathways). The body is a tool for the mind. We can positively change our thought and behavior patterns, and consequently, positively change our brain.
